the desk wobbles side to side a lot when i type, especially at standing height.

Quick answer: DIAGNOSIS: This is usually not a defect, but an issue of stabilization. The V2 frame is stable, but any cross-brace (like the commercial frame) needs to be perfectly level, and the desk itself needs to be loaded evenly.

DIAGNOSIS: This is usually not a defect, but an issue of stabilization. The V2 frame is stable, but any cross-brace (like the commercial frame) needs to be perfectly level, and the desk itself needs to be loaded evenly.

FIX: 1) Check that all bolts, especially the ones connecting the legs to the cross-brace and the cross-brace to the desktop, are tightened to a firm snug. Don't over-torque, just good and tight. 2) Ensure the desk is on a level floor. Use shims under the adjustable feet if one corner is off the ground. 3) Distribute weight on the desktop. A heavy monitor arm on one side and nothing on the other can induce a slight twist.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If you have the standard C-frame, consider upgrading to the more stable T-frame or adding the optional under-desk stability bar. These are after-purchase accessories from Uplift that significantly reduce side-to-side flex.

HEADS UP: Some inherent wobble at full extension is normal, but it shouldn't be disruptive. The main goal is to prevent a "wobble feedback loop" where your typing motion makes the monitors shake.
