DIAGNOSIS This is normal and by design—it's called the AquaStop vacuum seal. It prevents leaks. The seal releases when internal pressure equalizes, which can take a few minutes after the cycle ends. If it's extremely difficult or takes a long time, the venting might be slow.
FIX Just wait 2-5 minutes after the cycle ends. You'll often hear a faint "click" or "whoosh" as the seal breaks. Then the door will open normally. If you need to open it immediately, you can gently pry at the top corner of the door with your fingertips—it will break the seal with a pop.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the door remains vacuum-sealed for an unusually long time (over 10 minutes), the air vent or the condensation drying system might be blocked. This is less common but could be looked at during a service call.
HEADS UP Don't force the door open aggressively when it's under suction, as you can strain the hinges or door handle. That tight seal is a key part of Bosch's leak protection system and is actually a sign it's working correctly.
