DIAGNOSIS You have power to the unit but the main control board is not booting. The hum is the inlet valve getting a trickle of voltage.
FIX Check your household circuit breaker for the kitchen. Reset it. Then, at the dishwasher, check the electrical connection in the junction box (under the front kick plate). Ensure the wire nuts are tight and no wires are loose.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK A failed UI (User Interface) board is likely. This is the touchpad assembly. It can fail from a minor power surge. It requires replacement.
HEADS UP Before calling for service, unplug the unit or turn off its dedicated breaker for 30 minutes. This can sometimes reset a tripped internal thermal fuse on the board.
