i keep getting an e24 error code on my bosch dishwasher, what does that mean and how do i clear it?

— asked by Riley

DIAGNOSIS E24 indicates a water intake fault. The dishwasher did not fill with the required amount of water within the expected time.

FIX Check your water supply. Ensure the sink's hot water valve under the sink is fully open. Inspect the inlet hose for kinks. Disconnect the fill hose from the valve and check the mesh filter for debris; clean it if clogged. Restart the dishwasher.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The water inlet valve solenoid may be faulty. Test the valve for continuity with a multimeter. A failed valve will not open to allow water in.

HEADS UP Always use the error code readout. To view stored errors, press any program button for 3 seconds. The most recent error (like E24) will display.
