DIAGNOSIS: The automatic light timer feature has been disabled or the bulb is incompatible/burned out.
FIX: First, replace the bulb with a standard 60W equivalent LED or incandescent bulb. No 'dimmable' or 'smart' bulbs. Then, to reset the timer: press and hold the 'Light' button on your wall console for 10 seconds. You'll see the light flash, confirming the auto-on feature is re-enabled.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The light socket or relay in the motor unit head has failed. With power OFF, check for voltage at the socket terminals when the light button is pressed. No voltage means an internal board repair is needed.
HEADS UP: The light only stays on for the programmed time (default 4.5 minutes) after door motion stops. It will not stay on indefinitely. This is normal.
