the wall console light is on but none of the buttons work, can't open the door.

— asked by Casey

DIAGNOSIS: The console lost its wireless pairing to the main unit. A power surge or nearby interference can wipe the code.

FIX: Re-pair the console. At the motor unit, press the black 'Learn' button once. The light will glow steadily. Within 30 seconds, press the large 'Door' button on your wall console. The motor unit light will flash, confirming the link. Test all buttons.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: The wall console itself may have failed. Check for 24VAC between terminals 1 and 2 on the back of the console where the low-voltage wires connect. No power means a wiring fault back to the motor unit. Full power but dead buttons means replace the console.

HEADS UP: The learn procedure erases ALL previously paired remotes and keypads. You will need to re-pair every device after fixing the wall console.
