Diagnosis
Default timer setting. The built-in LED light has a programmable timer. The factory default is a 4.5-minute (270-second) auto-off cycle, but it can feel shorter if the light turns on for motion and no further activity is detected.
How to Fix It
Reprogram the light timer. Press and hold the light button on the wall control panel for 10 seconds. The opener light will flash. Release the button. Immediately press the light button again. Each press now increases the timer in 30-second increments, up to 10 minutes (600 seconds). The light will flash to confirm each increment. Stop pressing at your desired duration. The light will turn off, saving the setting.
If That Didn't Work
Check if the motion sensing feature is activating the light. If motion sensing is enabled, the light will turn on for its preset duration (separate from timer) and then turn off. Disable motion sensing via the wall panel settings if you only want manual control.
Heads Up
The LED light assembly is not designed for continuous, extended operation as a workshop light. Prolonged use may reduce the lifespan of the LED module.
