Diagnosis
The remote's IR signal isn't reaching the unit's sensor, or the remote itself has failed. The sensor is behind a small dark plastic window on the control panel.
How to Fix It
First, re-pair the remote.
- Point the remote directly at the sensor on the AC unit from no more than 6 feet away.
- Press and hold the "Timer" button on the remote for about 5 seconds until the display on the AC unit reacts.
- This resets the communication. Try using it again.
If That Didn't Work
The issue is likely with the AC unit's infrared receiver. Unplug the AC for 5 full minutes to perform a hard reset on its control board. Plug it back in and try the remote again.
Heads Up
Sunlight or bright incandescent lights can flood the IR sensor and block the signal. Try operating the remote with the room lights off or from a different angle.
