DIAGNOSIS False cliff sensor triggers. This happens when highly reflective or dark, uniform floors confuse the infrared sensors, or when the sensors themselves are dirty.
FIX Power off the robot. Wipe the four cliff sensors on the underside with a dry, soft cloth to remove dust or smudges. In the Roborock app, navigate to the robot's settings. Disable the Cliff Sensor function for a test run. This is a temporary workaround to confirm the issue.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The problem may be specific floor reflectivity. Create a No-Go Zone in the app covering the area where the error consistently occurs. This prevents the robot from attempting to clean that problematic spot. Alternatively, use a physical boundary strip.
HEADS UP Disabling cliff sensors is a safety override. Only do this on single-level, completely flat surfaces with no risk of stairs or drops. Re-enable them if the robot will be used on multiple floors.
