Diagnosis
The Sani Rinse option only activates if the final rinse water reaches 155°F. The light not illuminating means the temperature threshold was not met.
How to Fix It
Ensure you are using a cycle that supports Sani Rinse, such as 'Heavy Wash' or 'Pots & Pans'. Check the home water heater temperature. It must be set to a minimum of 120°F. Run hot water at the kitchen sink for one minute before starting the dishwasher to clear the supply line of cooled water.
If That Didn't Work
The internal heating element or its high-limit thermostat is likely faulty and cannot boost the incoming water to the required 155°F. Test the heating element for continuity and proper resistance (typically 10-30 ohms).
Heads Up
The Sani Rinse light is an indicator, not a guarantee of sanitization. It confirms the temperature was achieved for the required time period.
