DIAGNOSIS The steam circuit is not reaching proper temperature or is purging condensate. This happens if the wand is activated before the boiler reaches steam temperature, or if the steam tip is clogged.

FIX Activate steam properly. From the main screen, press the Steam button. Wait until the icon stops flashing and remains solidly lit, and the display shows the steam temperature (e.g., 140°C). Only then, turn the knob to open the steam wand. Purge for 2-3 seconds into an empty cup before frothing.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The steam wand tip holes are clogged with milk residue. Remove the tip (turn counter-clockwise) and soak it in warm water. Use a pin to clear each hole. Rinse and reattach.

HEADS UP Always purge the wand before and after frothing. Never leave milk residue inside the wand. It will bake on and cause blockages or bacterial growth.
