Diagnosis
Moisture or residue has seeped under the capacitive touch panel. The BFP-703BC's control panel is not fully sealed.
How to Fix It
Unplug the base. Wipe the control panel completely dry with a microfiber cloth. Use a cotton swab dipped in 90% isopropyl alcohol to clean around the edges of each button. Do not pour liquid directly on it. Let it dry for an hour before plugging back in.
If That Didn't Work
The touch panel's ribbon cable connection to the main board may be loose. This requires disassembly. If you're not comfortable opening the base, seek a technician.
Heads Up
Never submerge the base or run it under water. Clean only with a damp cloth. Spills from the blender jar dripping down the sides are a common cause.
