DIAGNOSIS The most common hiccup is a mismatch between your phone's Wi-Fi network and the air fryer's setup requirements. The fryer needs a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (not 5 GHz) and can struggle with networks that have special characters in the password or SSID.
FIX 1) On your phone, forget any 5 GHz network with the same name and connect only to the 2.4 GHz band. 2) In the VeSync app, during setup, make sure you grant location permissions—it needs this to find Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices. 3) Keep your phone very close to the air fryer (within 3 feet) during the whole process.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Reset the air fryer's Wi-Fi module. With the unit on, press and hold the Temp/Time and Power buttons together for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon flashes. Then try the setup process from scratch.
HEADS UP The smart features are handy, but the air fryer works perfectly fine in manual mode if you decide the app isn't worth the hassle.
