DIAGNOSIS: This is usually a power supply issue, not a machine failure. The plug isn't fully seated in the unit's rear port, or a power surge has triggered the internal thermal fuse.
FIX: First, check the detachable power cord. Unplug it from both the wall and the Instant Pot. Firmly reconnect it to the port on the back of the base—you must push until it clicks and sits flush. Then plug into the wall.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: Try a different wall outlet and a different power cord if you have one (standard IEC C13 cord). If it's still dead, the internal thermal fuse may have blown, which requires manufacturer service.
HEADS UP: The power cord connection on the Duo Crisp is notoriously finicky. Always ensure the cord is clicked in all the way before assuming the unit is broken. A loose cord is the #1 cause of a blank screen.
