DIAGNOSIS The centrifugal brewing mechanism is obstructed. A foreign object or a damaged capsule is likely jammed in the brewing chamber.
FIX Power off and unplug the machine. Let it cool. Open the head by lifting the lever fully. Visually inspect the top and bottom of the brewing chamber. Remove any capsule fragments or debris with tweezers. Manually rotate the black pod holder inside the head to check for smooth movement. Close the head, plug in, and run a cleaning cycle (press button three times).
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK If the noise continues with no visible obstruction, the bearing or motor assembly for the centrifugal spinner is failing. This requires professional service. Contact Nespresso support; this is a known failure point for this model.
HEADS UP Never force the lever closed if you feel resistance. Always check that the previous capsule was fully ejected before inserting a new one.
