DIAGNOSIS A leak from the front usually points to one of three spots: the rubber door boot gasket is torn, the drain hose connection at the pump is loose, or the drain pump filter housing isn't seated correctly.
FIX Start with the easiest check. Open the small access panel at the bottom front (where you clean the filter). Make sure the drain pump filter is screwed in tightly and the rubber seal is in good shape. Also, trace the drain hose from the pump to the back of the machine and check its connections.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Inspect the entire circumference of the rubber door boot gasket for tears, holes, or gaps where it attaches to the front of the outer tub. A small tear can spray a surprising amount of water during the wash cycle.
HEADS UP Before you panic, make sure the leak isn't just condensation from using hot washes in a cold room, or an overfilled detergent drawer dripping down. Dry everything thoroughly, run a cycle, and watch closely to pinpoint the exact source.
