DIAGNOSIS Water under the unit usually points to an overfilled drain pan or a loose connection in the drainage system. It's rarely a catastrophic leak.
FIX First, unplug the machine and move it to check the counter. Pull out the drain pan (the shallow tray at the very bottom, under the ice basket slot). It might be overflowing if it wasn't seated perfectly or if meltwater from the ice basket dripped into it. Empty it and dry it thoroughly. Also, check the rubber drain plug on the back—make sure it's pushed in all the way and sealed. Reassemble everything, ensure the machine is level, and plug it back in.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The leak might be from the internal water line connections. Inspect the back and bottom for any visible cracks in the plastic housing. If you find one, that's a warranty issue. Also, ensure you're not overfilling the water reservoir past the MAX line.
HEADS UP Some condensation around the base is normal in humid environments, but a puddle is not. Always use it on a water-resistant mat or tray to protect your counter, just in case.
