It's for controlled, short bursts—perfect for chopping or starting thick blends.
It's not a set speed you turn to. Here's how it works: Press the pulse button. Then, turn and hold the control dial from (O) to (P) for as long as you want the burst to last. When you release the dial, it stops. It gives you manual, instant control.
Use it to break up chunky frozen fruit or veggies before going to a high speed. Starting on high with chunks makes them float and wears the coupler. A few pulses gets them down to the blade.
If that didn't work, make sure you're doing the sequence right. You have to press the pulse button first, *then* turn and hold the dial to (P). Just turning the dial to (P) without pressing the button first won't activate pulse mode.
