DIAGNOSIS You're likely opening the basket to check on food without pressing the stop/pause button first. The unit sees the basket removed and triggers the reminder.
FIX When you need to check food, always press the stop/pause button on the control panel first. The timer will pause. Then you can safely pull the basket out. Slide it back in and press start/resume to continue.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The basket sensor might be overly sensitive. Try cleaning the metal contacts on the basket handle and the corresponding slots inside the fryer with a dry cloth to ensure a clean connection.
HEADS UP Constantly yanking the basket out mid-cycle without pausing can eventually wear out the sensor mechanism, leading to more frequent false alarms.
