Diagnosis
This model has a 'sensing' phase at the start of most cycles. If the water isn't getting hot enough, it will pause indefinitely, waiting. The most common culprit is your home's hot water not reaching the required 120°F+ at the valve.
How to Fix It
Run the hot water at the sink closest to the dishwasher until it's genuinely hot to the touch. Then start a new cycle. To prevent this, always run the kitchen hot water for a minute before starting the dishwasher, especially if it's been a while since hot water was used.
If That Didn't Work
If it's pausing later in the cycle, it could be a failing heating element or a clogged filter causing poor water circulation, which the sensors detect. Check and clean the filter assembly thoroughly. A failed heating element won't always trigger a code.
Heads Up
Don't just cancel and restart without checking the hot water first. Repeatedly forcing it to run with cold inlet water will result in poorly cleaned dishes and can trip a hidden high-limit fault.
