DIAGNOSIS Liquid got into the electronics in the base during washing. The inner pot is removable; the base housing is not waterproof.
FIX Unplug the unit immediately. Turn the base upside down and let it dry in a warm, ventilated area for at least 72 hours. Do not use a hair dryer. Check the power cord is fully inserted into the base.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Test the outlet with another appliance. Check your home's circuit breaker. If the outlet and cord are good, the thermal fuse or main control board is likely shorted. This requires professional repair.
HEADS UP Never immerse the base in water or run it under the tap. Wipe with a damp cloth only. Always remove the inner pot before cleaning the cooking base.
