DIAGNOSIS The Burn error triggers when the heating element gets too hot, usually because food is stuck or the inner pot is underfilled.
FIX Turn the pot off. Let it cool. Release pressure manually. Open the lid. Stir the contents and add at least 1 cup of liquid like water or broth. Scrape the bottom of the inner pot to free stuck food. Close and restart.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Check the float valve. If it's jammed with food debris, it won't seal and can cause overheating. Clean the valve and its silicone cap under the lid.
HEADS UP Never cook thick sauces, pasta, or dense foods without enough liquid. Use the "Sauté" function to reduce liquids only after pressure cooking is complete.
