all four lights on my mooka filter indicator are lit up and blinking, what does that mean?

— asked by Jordan

Diagnosis: The filter needs to be replaced. The filter replacement reminder activates after approximately 2000 hours of operation. When all four segments of the indicator light up, it's time for a new composite filter.

Fix: Replace the filter.

  1. Disconnect the air purifier from power.
  2. Remove the front cover by holding the lower corners and pulling up.
  3. Take out the old filter. Ensure you removed any plastic bag from the new filter before starting.
  4. Place the new filter into the housing with the pull straps facing outward.
  5. Reattach the cover by aligning the top tabs into the unit's slots, then pushing the bottom into place until you hear a click on both sides.

If that didn't work: The indicator may need a reset after filter replacement. Unplug the unit for one minute, then plug it back in. If the lights remain on with a new filter installed, contact customer service.

Heads up: With heavy use, you may need to replace the filter more frequently than every 6 months, regardless of the indicator.
