DIAGNOSIS This is a firmware-controlled battery preservation feature, not a fault. Lithium-ion batteries degrade slower if not constantly held at 100% charge.
FIX Manually trigger a full charge cycle. In the Arlo app, go to Settings > My Devices > select your camera > Device Info > Battery > Start Full Charge. Leave the camera on the charger until it completes. This can take several hours.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The USB-C charging cable or wall adapter is faulty. Use the official Arlo cable and a high-quality 5V/2A adapter. Cheap chargers often fail to deliver consistent power for the smart charging circuit.
HEADS UP The battery percentage in the app is a calculated estimate, not a precise measurement. Variations of 5-10% are normal. For permanent outdoor installations, use the weather-resistant AC power adapter to bypass battery issues entirely.
