DIAGNOSIS The sync module loses its connection to your router. This is typically caused by IP address conflicts, router settings, or a faulty USB power adapter.
FIX Assign a static IP address to the sync module in your router's DHCP settings. You will need the sync module's MAC address, found in the Blink app under Sync Module > Device Settings. Use a quality 5V/2A USB power adapter and the original cable. Plug directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK Your router's security or firewall settings may be blocking the persistent connection. Temporarily disable features like AP Isolation, Client Isolation, or aggressive DoS protection. Test for 24 hours. Also, ensure the sync module is not placed in an enclosed media cabinet.
HEADS UP The sync module must remain on the 2.4 GHz band of your Wi-Fi. If you have a dual-band router with a single SSID, it may try to push the module to 5 GHz, which it does not support. Create a separate 2.4 GHz SSID for the sync module.
