brews a super weak coffee no matter what k-cup or size i pick, like barely colored water.

DIAGNOSIS The exit needle (which pierces the K-Cup) is clogged with coffee grounds or scale, preventing proper water flow through the pod.

FIX

  • Power off the machine and lift the handle as if to brew, but do NOT insert a K-Cup. Leave it open.
  • Look inside the top of the K-Cup holder (the funnel). You'll see the entrance needle.
  • Now, look at the bottom of the brew chamber—that's the exit needle. Use a paperclip to gently clear any visible coffee grounds from the small hole of the exit needle.
  • Run multiple brew cycles of just water (no pod) using the largest cup setting to flush the system.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The machine may be not getting hot enough due to severe scale buildup. You need to descale the entire system using Keurig's official descaling solution or approved white vinegar method.

HEADS UP Never use a needle or tool on the entrance needle at the top—you can damage the alignment. Only ever clear the exit needle at the bottom, and do so gently.
