DIAGNOSIS The silicone sealing ring at the bottom of the frother carafe is either missing, damaged, or has debris preventing a proper seal.
FIX
- Unplug the base and remove the carafe.
- Turn it upside down. The small, clear silicone ring is seated in a groove around the center post.
- Pop this ring out carefully with your fingernail.
- Wash the ring and the groove with warm, soapy water, removing any dried milk residue.
- Ensure the ring is not torn or stretched. Re-seat it firmly into its groove.
- When attaching the carafe to the base, turn it firmly to the 'Lock' position until it clicks.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The carafe itself may be cracked, often near the bottom post. Inspect it closely under light. A cracked carafe cannot be repaired and must be replaced.
HEADS UP Never immerse the frother base in water. Only clean it with a damp cloth. The leak is almost always from the carafe seal, not the base.
