DIAGNOSIS The descale reminder is a hard timer based on brew counts. Running a descale cycle doesn't automatically reset it—you must manually complete the reset sequence.
FIX
- Ensure the machine is ON and the descale light is illuminated.
- Press and HOLD the 8oz and 12oz brew buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- All lights will flash. The descale light should now be off.
- Run a water-only brew cycle through the coffee side and a water cycle through the frother to rinse any residual solution.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK You may have interrupted the previous descale cycle. You must complete a full, uninterrupted descaling procedure (filling reservoir with solution, running until empty, refilling with clean water, running until empty) BEFORE the button hold reset will work.
HEADS UP The machine tracks frother usage as well as coffee brews for the descale timer. If you use the frother daily, the light will come on more frequently.
