To set it up: You'll need to link your printer to your Amazon Alexa account through the Alexa app. Look for a 'Skills' section and search for Canon. Once you enable the skill and link your printer (it'll guide you through discovery), you can just ask, "Alexa, what's the ink level on my printer?"
If it's not working: First, make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Alexa device. The printer needs to be on and not in deep sleep mode for Alexa to query it.
Heads up: This is just for alerts. The printer lacks a mobile app for direct printing from your phone, so you can't tell Alexa to print your document—just check on the ink.
