can i use my ego lm2135sp without the grass catcher, just side discharge?

Diagnosis

The EGO LM2135SP is designed for flexible operation, and you can absolutely use it without the grass catcher. The mower supports mulching, bagging, and side discharge modes. The current configuration is set for bagging, which requires switching the attachment.

How to Fix It

To convert to side discharge, follow these steps:

1. Ensure the mower is powered off and the battery is removed.
2. Lift the mower's rear discharge door and remove the grass catcher bag from its frame.
3. Unhook the grass catcher bag frame from the mower deck by releasing the two locking tabs on the sides.
4. Take the side discharge chute (part #3129809001) and align it with the opening on the mower deck.
5. Press it firmly into place until you hear it click and the locking tabs on the chute engage securely with the deck.
6. Reinstall the battery. The mower is now ready for side discharge operation.

If That Didn't Work

If the chute won't install or the mower still seems blocked, check for two issues. First, verify you have the correct chute and not the mulch plug (part #3129653001), which is a solid block meant for mulching mode only.
