Yes, but with specific conditions.
- Use the mulch plug. The mower is designed for mulching when the optional mulch plug is installed, which blocks the rear discharge chute.
- Mow dry leaves. Wet leaves will clump and clog the deck instantly.
- Take shallow passes. Don't try to mulch a deep, thick layer all at once. Go over the area multiple times to gradually reduce the leaf volume.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the mower bogs down or leaves clump, the layer is too thick or wet. Rake some away first or wait for drier conditions.
HEADS UP: Mulching heavy leaves will drain the battery much faster than regular mowing. Have a spare battery charged and ready. Clear the deck frequently to prevent clogging.
