Diagnosis
You need the serial number to register your Greenworks mower for warranty coverage or to request service. This number is specific to your unit and is found on a permanent label attached to the mower itself.
How to Fix It
Locate the product identification label. For the Greenworks 40V 21-inch mower (often model LMF415), this label is almost always on the mower deck, near the rear. To find it clearly:
- Ensure the mower is turned off and the battery is removed.
- Look on the flat top surface of the rear mower deck, just behind the handle assembly.
- You may also check the side of the deck near the rear wheel.
- On the label, find the "SN" or "Serial Number" entry. The model number (e.g., MO40L03 or LMF415) will also be listed here.
- Write down both the full serial and model numbers.
If That Didn't Work
If the label is illegible, damaged, or missing, your original dated sales receipt serves as the primary proof of purchase for warranty validation. Contact Greenworks Customer Support directly with your receipt. They may be able to identify your mower using the purchase date and retailer information.
Heads Up
You must register your product at the Greenworks website to activate the warranty. Keep your receipt in a safe place, as it is the ultimate proof of your purchase date, which determines the warranty period's start.
