can i use my honeywell hpa300 air purifier in a damp room like a bathroom?

— asked by Riley

No. Do not use it in areas with high moisture or standing water.

Air purifiers are for cleaning dry, indoor air. Bathrooms, laundry rooms, or near humidifiers expose the electrical components and the filter to moisture. This can cause electrical shorts, mold growth inside the unit or on the filter, and permanent damage.

IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If you need air purification in a damp area, the room must first be properly ventilated to reduce humidity (use an exhaust fan). Place the purifier well away from direct water sources like showers or sinks.

HEADS UP: Water and electricity don't mix. Using it in a damp environment voids the warranty and creates a serious shock hazard.
