No. They are mutually exclusive attachments.
The mower is designed for one of three configurations:
- Mulching: Install the mulch plug (part number 3129653001). Remove the side discharge chute.
- Side Discharge: Install the side discharge chute (part number 3129809001). Ensure the mulch plug is removed.
- Bagging: Attach the grass catcher to the bag frame. Both the discharge chute and mulch plug must be removed.
If that didn't work, you might have a compatibility issue. The mulch plug (part number 3129653001) and side discharge chute (part number 3129809001) are specific parts for this model. Using non-OEM parts can cause improper fit.
Heads up: Always use the correct configuration. Running the mower with both installed or neither installed can damage the deck and create unsafe discharge conditions.
