Clean the paper feed rollers. Dirt or paper powder on the rollers causes this.
1. Turn printer on. Remove all paper from the cassette and push it back in.
2. Press and hold the Stop button. Release when the Alarm lamp flashes 7 times.
3. Press the Black or Color button. Let the rollers rotate and clean.
4. Once they stop, load three sheets of A4 or Letter plain paper.
5. Press the Black or Color button again. The cleaning finishes when the paper ejects.
6. Press Stop. If the problem persists, contact Canon.
