The red filter alert means the filter isn't fitted correctly or needs cleaning. Fit it properly or wash it.

1. Turn the machine off.
2. Locate the filter at the rear of the main body.
3. Remove it by twisting anti-clockwise and pulling.
4. Check that it is completely clean and, crucially, completely dry.
5. Re-seat the filter by aligning it and twisting clockwise until it's secure.

If that didn't work: The filter may need washing. Follow the wash instructions (warm water, no detergents, 24-hour dry time). A damp filter will trigger the alert and can damage the machine.

Heads up: Wash your filter at least once a month to maintain optimum suction power. Never use the machine with a damp filter.
