The red filter alert means the filter isn't fitted correctly or needs cleaning. Fit it properly or wash it.
- Turn the machine off.
- Locate the filter at the rear of the main body.
- Remove it by twisting anti-clockwise and pulling.
- Check that it is completely clean and, crucially, completely dry.
- Re-seat the filter by aligning it and twisting clockwise until it's secure.
If that didn't work: The filter may need washing. Follow the wash instructions (warm water, no detergents, 24-hour dry time). A damp filter will trigger the alert and can damage the machine.
Heads up: Wash your filter at least once a month to maintain optimum suction power. Never use the machine with a damp filter.
