DIAGNOSIS: Your feed water has high TDS (>500 mg/liter). The RO system removes it from your drinking water, but the water going to your kettle is likely unfiltered tap water from a different line.
FIX: Use the RO water from your dedicated faucet to fill your kettle. That water has the minerals removed. The scaling is caused by calcium, magnesium, and carbonates in high-TDS water.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If you're already using RO water and see scaling, check that the RO faucet is plumbed correctly and you're not drawing from a bypass line. Verify the system is producing water (tank is full).
