FIX Disconnect all loads from the generator. Press and hold the 'Info' button on the digital display for 3 seconds to clear the error code. Restart the generator. Reconnect loads one at a time, starting with the largest, to identify which appliance or combination trips the overload. Ensure the total wattage of all running devices stays below 3400 watts.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK A faulty current sensor or a short circuit in the generator's internal wiring can cause a false overload reading. This requires professional diagnostic testing of the inverter module and sensing circuits.
HEADS UP Motor-driven tools and appliances (like air compressors or fridge compressors) have a startup surge 3-5 times their running wattage. This surge, not the running wattage, is likely triggering the 1204 code. Add up surge watts, not running watts.
