DIAGNOSIS A localized power or connection failure to the LED control panel. The main generator is operational, but the display module is not receiving stable 12V DC power from the battery/charging system.
FIX Check the connection to the display first. Locate the wiring harness connector on the back of the display panel (accessible by removing the control box cover). Disconnect and firmly reconnect this plug to ensure a clean contact. If the display remains blank, use a multimeter to check for 12V+ at this connector with the generator running.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK The 12V DC fuse for the control circuit may be blown. Locate the fuse box (typically near the battery). Check the 5-amp or 10-amp fuse labeled for 'Control' or 'Panel' and replace it with an identical amperage fuse.
HEADS UP A chronically weak or failing battery can cause the display to flicker or go blank, even while running, because the charging system is prioritizing the engine. Test the battery voltage under load; it should maintain above 13V when the generator is running.
