greenworks 40v mower handle feels loose and wobbly. how do i tighten it?

— asked by Carl

The handle has folding knobs that might not be fully locked. Let's get it solid.

You'll need to locate the handle adjustment knobs. Here's the step-by-step:

  1. Stand behind the mower and look at the base of the upper handle, where it connects to the mower deck.
  2. You should see one or two large plastic knobs. These are the folding/locking mechanisms.
  3. Turn the knob(s) clockwise to tighten. You should feel resistance as it locks the handle firmly in the operating position.
  4. Try to wiggle the handle. There should be minimal play. If it's still loose, check if the knob is stripped or damaged.

If that didn't work: If the knob is stripped or the handle connection point is cracked, you'll need a replacement part. Contact Greenworks customer service with your model number (MO40L03).

Heads up: Always ensure the handle is securely locked before starting the mower. A loose handle is a safety hazard.
