Airflow is blocked. The most common cause is a clogged filter.
- Power off and unplug the unit.
- Remove the front grille and inspect the True HEPA filter. If it appears dark gray, packed with dust, or damaged, it needs replacement.
- Even if the "Check Filter" light isn't on, heavy use in a dusty or pet-filled home can clog a filter before the timer activates.
- Check the air intake grilles (usually on the sides or back) and the output vent for any obstructions like furniture, curtains, or dust buildup.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If a new, genuine filter doesn't restore strong airflow, the internal fan motor is likely failing and cannot achieve its proper RPM. The unit requires service.
HEADS UP: Regularly vacuuming the exterior grilles can help prevent dust from clogging the intake before it even reaches the filter.
