You need to manually reset the filter timer. The light is on a schedule, not a sensor.
- With the unit plugged in and powered on, locate the "Filter Reset" button. It's typically near the control panel.
- Press and hold the "Filter Reset" button for 3 to 5 seconds until the "Check Filter" indicator light turns off.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: If the light won't reset or comes back on quickly, double-check:
- The new filter is a genuine Honeywell HRF-300AP and is installed correctly, fully seated with no gaps.
- The filter's plastic wrapping was completely removed before installation.
HEADS UP: The reset must be done after every filter change. Mark the installation date on the filter frame for your own tracking.
