A blinking indicator light typically signals a filter replacement alert or a fault condition.
- Filter Replacement Alert: The unit tracks runtime. A steady or blinking 'Check Filter' or similar indicator means the HEPA filter has reached its recommended replacement interval.
- Fault Condition: A rapid blink, often of the power LED, can indicate an internal error, such as a fan motor fault or a sensor issue.
Fix: For a filter alert, replace the True HEPA filter with the correct model. Reset the filter indicator if your model has a reset procedure (often holding a button for 3-5 seconds after installing the new filter). For a fault blink with no filter alert, unplug the unit for 2 minutes, then plug it back in and try to power on.
If that didn't work, and the fault blink persists after a power cycle, the unit has an internal electronic fault requiring service.
Heads up: Do not ignore a persistent fault light. Operating with a known fault can lead to further damage.
