how do i clean the heating element thing inside my philips air fryer? it has gunk on it.

You need to be careful, as the heating element and the metal edges around it can be hot and sharp.

  1. First, press the on/off button to turn it off, unplug it, and let everything cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  2. Remove the pan and basket to let the inside cool faster.
  3. To remove any food residues, clean the heating element with a small, soft or medium-bristled brush. Do not use a steel brush or hard-bristled brush, as this can damage the element's coating.

If that didn't work: For general cleaning inside the appliance, use hot water and a non-abrasive sponge. Never immerse the appliance in water or rinse it under running water.

Heads up: Always ensure the heating element is clean and free of food residue before using the appliance. Let all parts cool before cleaning.
