The Ninja Kitchen System motor base houses sensitive electronics like the BlendSense technology and the 1800-watt motor. It's designed for surface cleaning only, as immersion or excessive moisture can cause permanent electrical damage, corrosion, or a safety hazard.
How to Fix It
Follow these steps to clean your blender base safely:
- Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
- Use a soft, damp cloth (not wet or dripping) to wipe down the entire exterior, including the sides, front control panel, and the rubberized feet.
- For the drive socket (the square metal post where the pitcher locks on), wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth or a soft-bristled brush (like a clean toothbrush) to remove any sticky residue or food particles that have fallen in.
- Use a dry cloth to immediately wipe the base completely dry, paying special attention to the control panel area, ventilation slots, and the drive socket.
- Allow the base to air-dry fully for a few minutes before plugging it back in or attaching a pitcher.
If That Didn't Work
For stubborn splatters or sticky residue on the exterior plastic, dampen your cloth with a mild soap solution (like dish soap), wipe the area, and then immediately follow with a cloth dampened with plain water to rinse. Never spray cleaner directly onto the base. For residue inside the drive socket, a cotton swab lightly dampened with water can help. Ensure no moisture remains.
Heads Up
Never submerge the base, run it under water, or place it in a dishwasher. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh cleaners, or solvents, as they can scratch the surface and damage the BlendSense icons. Always ensure the drive socket is completely dry before use to prevent pitcher slippage and motor strain.
