DIAGNOSIS Hair wraps around the ends of the brush bar, near the bearings. This increases drag, reduces performance, and can cause overheating.
FIX Slide the red catch on the cleaner head to release the soleplate. Lift it off. Use the dedicated cutter tool stored on the side of the vacuum. Hold the brush bar steady and cut the wrapped hair at one end. Pull the cut hair free. Repeat for the other end.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK For deeply embedded thread, you must remove the brush bar. Push the purple clips on each end of the bar housing inward. The bar will lift out. Clean the ends and the bearings thoroughly.
HEADS UP Never submerge the cleaner head or let water enter the bearing housings. Never use scissors without the guard; the carbon fiber filaments are easily damaged.
