If you notice the ice cubes are becoming smaller, cloudy, or the machine is taking longer than 7 minutes per batch, you have mineral scaling. Beyond minerals, the internal reservoir and the tubing leading to the evaporator are prone to biofilm and mold growth, especially in humid environments. Because the SLIM01 does not have a fully removable water tank, stagnant water can settle in the lower pump housing. If you notice a musty smell or a slippery film on the interior walls of the reservoir, you are dealing with bacterial growth that requires a chemical break-down rather than just a rinse.

How to Fix It

You do not need the proprietary Silonn cleaning solution; a high-concentration acetic acid (white vinegar) or a citric acid solution is equally effective. Follow this precise sequence for a deep descale and sanitize:

1. **Clear the System:** Empty all existing ice cubes from the basket and drain every drop of water from the reservoir. Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe away any visible slime or debris from the walls of the tank.
2. **Prepare the Solution:** Mix 2 cups of warm (not boiling) distilled water with 1 cup of white distilled vinegar. If you have severe scaling, you can use a 50/50 ratio of vinegar to water.
