DIAGNOSIS: Improper cleaning can force water into sealed compartments, causing electrical shorts and corrosion.
FIX: 1. Never use a pressure washer or hose. 2. Turn the scooter OFF and remove both batteries. 3. Use a slightly damp cloth with mild soapy water to wipe down the frame, deck, and wheels. 4. Use a dry, soft-bristled brush to dislodge dirt from tire treads and brake areas. 5. Immediately dry all surfaces with a separate, clean, dry cloth.
IF THAT DIDN'T WORK: For stubborn grime on the deck, use a plastic prying tool or a stiff plastic card to scrape it off before wiping with the damp cloth. Avoid all solvents.
HEADS UP: Critical areas to keep dry: the battery compartment seals, the display unit, the charging port cover, and the seam where the motor housing meets the wheel. Never store or charge the scooter while it is damp.
