Diagnosis
Product residue (hairspray, serum, mousse) has baked onto the ceramic surface, creating a rough, sticky layer that ruins glide.
How to Fix It
Wipe it down immediately after each use while it's still warm (but not hot). Use a damp microfiber cloth. For built-up residue, unplug and let cool completely. Use a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol or a ceramic cooktop cleaner to gently scrub the barrel. Never use abrasive pads or powders.
If That Didn't Work
If the ceramic coating is actually chipped or scratched from abuse, the snagging is permanent. The barrel cannot be refinished.
Heads Up
Never submerge the barrel or base in water. Apply haircare products to your hair, not directly to the barrel, to prevent this buildup.
