Diagnosis
The motor is trying to run but the rotating barrel is jammed. This is almost always caused by hair wrapped extremely tightly around the central spindle inside the barrel.
How to Fix It
You need to remove the hair jam. First, unplug the device. Then, pull the entire rotating barrel assembly straight up and off the base. You’ll see a plastic spindle. Use tweezers, a seam ripper, or a small pair of scissors to carefully cut and remove every strand of hair wound around it. Reattach the barrel firmly until it clicks.
If That Didn't Work
The internal clutch mechanism that engages the spin function might be broken from forcing a jam. This requires a replacement barrel assembly or professional repair.
Heads Up
Never force the barrel to turn if it’s stuck. You’ll break the plastic gears. Always remove hair buildup weekly to prevent this.
